Trulieve Cannabis (OTCQX:TCNNF) is in the spotlight after announcing statewide commemorations to celebrate its re-branding initiatives in Maryland. The retail locations in the state were formerly branded as Harvest.
In recognition of the milestone, the company invites registered medical marijuana patients and their caregivers to join its statewide retail locations on Feb. 05 for celebrations.
"We are honored to provide Maryland's patients with a broad selection of high-quality medical cannabis products at each of our dispensaries across the state," CEO Kim Rivers said.
The rebranding in Maryland follows Trulieve’s (OTCQX:TCNNF) 2021 acquisition of Harvest Health & Recreation. Last month, the company announced the completion of rebranding in Pennsylvania.

Optimism for legislation in 2021 that would allow cannabis businesses to work with the U.S. banking system came to an end on Monday after President Biden signed the National Defense Authorization Act into law on Monday.
While a House version of the bill included language related to the SAFE Banking Act, it was stripped from the Senate version.
The prospects for getting SAFE passed in 2022 are grim, according to Height Capital Markets analyst Edwin Groshans. He sees "limited legislative vehicles available" as Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) tries to build support for his reform measure, the Cannabis Administration and Opportunity Act.
Groshans also lowered his likelihood of SAFE being passed to 40% from 55%-60%.
However, Cowen's Jaret Seiberg takes a more sanguine view if SAFE goes nowhere. If it fails, "it sets the stage for action in 2022 that could include capital markets access, a fix to the 280E tax treatment and social justice measures."

...wär zwar schade , denn die von etlichen Senatoren im Vorfeld abgegebenen Erklärungen sollen klar auf ein "go" hingewiesen haben ... andererseits wird der SAFE banking act (der halt dann später kommt) nur das Sahnehäubchen , weil er Kredit-und Bezahlmodalitäten und Us-Instis die Direktinvestition in den Sektor erleichtert ... hätte klar nen Hype ausgelöst , ändert aber nichts am stetigen Wachstum und der Profitabilität des expandierenden Unternehmens resp. des Sektors in Amerika . Lest mal, was ich zu Trulive heute im Thread bei SYNBIOTIC geschrieben hab .
(dafuer startet endlich unser top Favorit BioHarvest , zu dem es immernoch keinen Thread gibt ...hab deshalb 2 BM-Schreibern dazu auch off topic im Thread bei SYN geantwortet ).

Trulieve Cannabis (OTCQX:TCNNF) announces the acquisition of PurpleMed Healing Center in Tucson, Arizona.
Consideration paid for the acquisition was deemed immaterial.
Located at 1010 S Freeway in Tucson, the retail operation is being rebranded to Harvest House of Cannabis and will open Wednesday, Dec. 29 at noon.
The dispensary becomes the Company's 17th in the state serving both medical patients and recreational customers.
"Trulieve is excited to expand our footprint in Tucson and add a second location in the state's second largest market," said Kim Rivers, CEO of Trulieve.
Trulieve-affiliated dispensary locations in Arizona include Avondale, Casa Grande, Chandler, Cottonwood, Glendale, Guadalupe, Lake Havasu, Mesa, Peoria, Phoenix, Scottsdale, Tempe and Tucson.

Marijuana banking reform measure stumbles as it is left out of defense bill

Provisions that would allow cannabis companies in the U.S. to do business with banks was excluded from a larger defense bill currently under discussion by both chambers of Congress.
The SAFE Banking Act passed the House in September as part the National Defense Authorization Act for fiscal year 2022.
BofA Securities analyst Lisa Lewandowski says that it is unlikely to measure will be reinserted.
Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-Colo.), who has spearheaded efforts for the SAFE Banking Act, said, "My work on this bill is far from over....going forward, I plan to pursue every possible avenue to get SAFE Banking signed into law."
Lewandowski notes that the disconnect between federal and state marijuana laws cannot continue long-term given the $18B in legal cannabis spending last year and the growing market.
