"On January 18, 2024, the Company announced that the MARN approved the Permit Amendment to change the mining method from the existing permitted underground development to surface mining development. On August 20, 2023, Bernardo Arévalo of the Semilla party won the presidential runoff election. Bernardo Arévalo was formally inaugurated as the new president on January 14, 2024. Following the change in government, Arévalo's administration announced a review of all recent approvals by the previous government which included forming an inter-ministerial committee to audit Cerro Blanco and investigate the recent approval of the amendment to the environmental permit. The audit concluded within the first quarter and Cerro Blanco was found to be in compliance with Guatemalan law. Subsequent to the audit concluding, a new Minister of the MARN was appointed in April 2024 and has made several public complaints as to the internal approval process of the Permit Amendment and the Minister and Vice Minister have made public statements calling for the revocaton of the Permit Amendment. The complaints are within the MARN and not against the Company and it is the Company’s view that the MARN does not have a legal basis to revoke the Permit Amendment, and the Company would legally defend its acquired rights if necessary."
Achtung: zum 31.03. betrug das working capital $-15,9 Mio. Zur weiteren Finanzierung heißt es:
"The Company currently has the ability to draw on the $30,000,000 loan facility (the "Loan") from related parties ($14,000,000 drawn at March 31, 2024) until March 11, 2025. Thereafter, the Company will need further funding to support the advancement of Cerro Blanco and to meet general corporate and working capital requirements. "

Feasibility Study Highlights
The recent completion of the Feasibility Study highlighted a project that is capable of producing over 300,000 ounces per year at head grades of +2.0 g/t gold. The project will produce 2.6 million ounces of gold over the life of mine at first quartile all-in sustaining costs. As reported in the press release dated February 22, 2022, highlights include:
Life of mine production of 2.6 million ounces of gold and 10.6 million ounces of silver over an initial 14-year mine life.
Peak production of 347,000 ounces and average annual production of 241,000 ounces gold over the first ten years of operation.
Average life of mine AISC of $629/oz (net of credits).
Average annual free cash flow of $228 million per year during the first 10 years and life of mine total free cash flow of $2.350 billion.
Net present value (5%) of $1.047 billion after-tax.
After-tax internal rate of return of 30%.
Initial capital of $572 million with an after-tax payback period of 2.2 years.
Proven & Probable Reserves of 2.8 million ounces of gold and 12.6 million ounces of silver (53.9 million tonnes at 1.6 g/t Au and 7.3 g/t Ag).

Zu 5% des after Tax NPV aus der FS von April 2022 ist BS aktuell bewertet...
Kann man natürlich noch einiges an Kosten für CAPEX/Infrastruktur und auch Kosten für den Abbau drauf rechnen, aber da ist schon extrem günstig mMn. Ist halt Guatemala und daher ein heißes Eisen und seit dem "environmental permit amendment for the Cerro Blanco gold project" gab es auch keine weiteren news. Denke da sind einige Räder im Hintergrund am drehen und vom kfr. High haben wir auch wieder gut konsolidiert. Leider aktuell kein Cash vorhanden, aber BS ganz oben auf der Einkaufliste... 😍

Die Umweltgenehmigung ist ein zentraler Meilenstein für die Entwicklung von Cerro Blanco; die Neubewertung der Aktie ist nur konsequent.
Ich hatte die News hier ca eine h vor Öffnung drüben eingestellt. Es gab genügend shares, die man um die 18-20 Cent hätte kaufen können.
Hat wohl aber niemand gemacht, obwohl es einige Aufrufe gab… na ja, Mund abputzen und weiter 🤓

Problem war, dass die Bergbau Behörde sich quer gestellt hat und Umweltverbände in Guatemala das Projekt strikt abgelehnt hatten (Flüsse in der Nähe, etc.)...
Das war der Zeitpunkt, als der Kurs von 1,55€ ins Nirvana abgestürzt ist...
Schön für alle Mutigen, die unten einsteigen konnten...
