hatte mir von der Hannover Messe ne Menge erwartet... oeider blieben signifikant News aus. Wenn ITM es schafft Produkte an den Mann zu bringen, schau ich mir das Unternehmen nochmal an. Bis dahin bleibt es leider ein Cash Burner, Bilanz- und Aktien-technisch.

Wenn wir Schlußkurse unter 45 Euro sehen, werde ich mich auch trennen, den Titel aber
weiter auf dem Schirm haben, um zu sehen, ob er sich irgendwann stabiler präsentiert.

Sheffield-based clean fuel company ITM Power has launched its CE marked product range at the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Fair at the Hannover Messe in Germany. The company also said it has concluded the first sale of one of its small-scale bespoke hydrogen production system to the University of Glamorgan.
ITM said it picked up 360 new contacts in Hannover and renewed interest from existing contacts.
It also entered discussions about partnerships for project development and EU funding, as well as potential product orders and channel partner discussions for the its HFlame product.
With the largest hydrogen refuelling infrastructure plans in the world, Germany is described as a key market for ITM.

Opel setzt auf Elektroantrieb ohne Akku
Batteriegespeiste Elektroautos wie der hauseigene Ampera sind für Opel nur eine Notlösung. Die Rüsselsheimer rechnen in Sachen Öko-Auto auf lange Sicht mit einer altbekannten Alternative: der Brennstoffzelle.
Im Spätherbst bringt Opel nach unendlich vielen Messeauftritten sein erstes Großserienauto mit Elektroantrieb nach Europa. Der Ampera ist ein veritabler Viersitzer mit den Dimensionen und dem Nutzwert eines Familienautos - und mit einem üppigen Preis: Knapp 43.000 Euro rufen die Rüsselsheimer für den Wagen auf.
Dafür bietet Opel Kilometerkosten, die stärker vom Strom- als dem Benzinpreis abhängen. Der Ampera liefert - je nach Fahrweise - eine rein elektrische Reichweite zwischen 40 und 90 Kilometern, was die meisten Strecken im Alltagsgeschäft abdeckt. Wer gelegentlich mal weiter hinaus will, dem verhilft ein modifizierter 1,4-Liter-Benziner als zu einer verlängerten Reichweite von bis zu 500 Kilometern. Auf die eingebaute Batterie gibt Opel eine Garantie von acht Jahren oder bis zu 160.000 Kilometer.
Der Ampera hat während der Entwicklung Crashtests überstanden, wurde mit geladener Batterie in Becken mit Salzwasser getaucht, durch den kanadischen Winter und auf den 4300 Meter hohen Pikes Peak gescheucht, im Death Valley gebraten, wurde mit Elektroschocks traktiert und tiefgefroren.
Stückzahlen bereits heraufgesetzt
Opels Zukunft ist elektrisch und batteriegetrieben, möchte man meinen. Doch weit gefehlt. Elektrisch ja, sagt Rittmar von Helmolt, der bei Opel nach alternativen Antrieben forscht, batteriegetrieben eher nicht. Elektroautos wie der Ampera, die ihren Strom in üppigen Akkupacks mit sich herumschleppen, sind für Opel nur eine Übergangslösung, denn wiederaufladbare Batterien sind nicht praktisch. Dafür sorgt schon die simple Physik. Wer ein Dieselauto heute 500 Kilometer weit bringen will, braucht dafür rund 33 Kilo Dieseltreibstoff. Der Akku, der genug Strom speichert für die gleiche Strecke, müsste über eine halbe Tonne allein an Speicherzellen mit sich herum schleppen.
Dazu kommt die Systemtechnik. Beim Diesel reichen für Tank & Co. noch zehn Kilo, beim entsprechenden Akku würden Kühlung, Elektronik, Ummantelung usw. rund 290 Kilogramm ausmachen. Der T-förmige Batteriepack im Ampera etwa wiegt mit seinen 288 Zellen 180 Kilo und ist für 60 Kilometer durchschnittliche Reichweite gut. Dazu bringt das Akku-Auto noch weitere systembedingte Unpässlichkeiten mit sich. Vor allem das Thema Ladezeiten sehen die Opel-Ingenieure als ein großes Manko an - denn sie lässt sich nur theoretisch stark verkürzen. Praktisch werden bei der Stromaufladung vermutlich nie Ladesysteme realisiert werden lassen, die zeitlich mit der Zapfsäule konkurrieren könnten. Um etwa die nutzbaren 8 kWh in eine Ampera-Batterie zu packen, sind an einer herkömmlichen Haushaltssteckdose mit 230 Volt vier Stunden Ladezeit nötig.
Batteriebetriebene Fahrzeuge sind für Opel deshalb auf Dauer nur im Nahbereich vorstellbar - oder eben eine gewisse Zeit lang mit benzingespeisten Zusatzmotoren zur Vergrößerung der Reichweite. Die Zukunft der Elektroautos gehört dem Wasserstoff, da sind sich von Helmolt und seine Kollegen im Mainzer GM-Zentrum für alternative Antriebe einig.
Über eine Brennstoffzelle wird aus dem Element elektrische Energie erzeugt, als Abfallstoff entsteht reines Wasser. Wasserstoff als Energieträger, sagt Helmolt biete alle Vorteile der heutigen Benziner - ohne deren Nachteile. Tanken etwa ist ähnlich einfach wie heute und binnen drei Minuten erledigt. Wasserstoff lässt sich zudem ökonomisch in großen Mangen produzieren, in ähnlichen Chargen lagern und transportieren wie heute Benzin oder Diesel - und er lässt sich dezentral aus erneuerbaren Energiequellen und damit völlig CO2-neutral herstellen.
Wasserstoff als Stütze für Kernkraftausstieg
So ganz nebenbei würde mit dem, was Opel als Modell durchgerechnet hat, auch noch eines der Probleme beim Ausstieg aus der Kernkraft gelöst: Die Speicherung ökologisch erzeugten Überschussstroms. Man könnte nicht benötigte elektrische Energie von Wind- und Solarkraftwerken zur Produktion von Wasserstoff nutzen, diesen darauf in unterirdischen Salzstöcken lagern, bei Bedarf zurück in Strom umwandeln und in das Leitungsnetz einspeisen.
Ein erstes Pilotprojekt ist bereits zusammen mit dem Windkrafterzeuger Enertrag in der Pipeline: Im Norden Brandenburgs wird mit sauberer Windkraft Wasserstoff gewonnen und an Wasserstofftankstellen in Berlin geliefert. Dort erprobt Opel bereits seit 2005 Brennstoffzellenautos im Alltagsbetrieb.
In der Logistik, den nötigen Wasserstoff an die Autofahrer zu bringen, sehen die Opel-Planer auch kein wirkliches Problem: Ein bundesweites Netzwerk von rund 2000 Tankstationen mit Wasserstoff-Zapfsäulen lasse sich bis längstens 2020 für rund drei Milliarden Euro aufbauen. Schon mit einer Versorgung von zehn Prozent der Fläche in Europa seien 53 Prozent aller Fahrzeuge zu versorgen. Bei einem Viertel der Gesamtfläche seien es bereits drei Viertel aller Autos. 2015 will Opel seine ersten Fahrzeuge mit Brennstoffzellen in Serie gehen lassen. "Unser Ziel ist es, parallel zur Markteinführung eine flächende Infrastruktur aufzubauen", sagt von Helmolt. Bis dahin muss es der Ampera-Akku durchhalten.

ITM Power, the energy storage and clean fuel company, is pleased to announce the successful commercial launch of its CE marked product range, HPac, HBox and HFlame, at the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Fair at the Hannover Messe in Germany. The Company received a great deal of attention at the fair, speaking five times in the Public Forum and three times in the Technical Forum. Analysis of the enquiries shows 360 new contacts and renewed interest from existing contacts, keen to revisit enquiries made last year prior to product CE marking. 30 privately scheduled meetings took place to discuss partnerships for project development and EU funding, as well as potential product orders and channel partner discussions for the Company's HFlame product.
Germany has the largest hydrogen refuelling infrastructure plans in the world. This coupled with the political will and allocated funding, makes Germany a key early hydrogen refuelling market. The Company is examining the possible commercial and grant support opportunities to launch phase two of the HOST programme in Germany with commercial fleet operators.
In addition to interest in the products offered for sale, the Company had a number of meetings concerning its proprietary membrane materials for potential use in numerous fuel cell applications. It is clear that the fuel cell materials are uniquely positioned, offering significantly higher power densities than existing state-of-the-art equivalents. The Company has been invited to present technical results to a number of organisations over the coming months.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback both from private meetings and the hydrogen and renewable energy community itself, is taken as evidence that the products launched are of a specification relevant to existing and emerging market opportunities. The Company issued price lists to interested parties at the fair and all three of the CE marked products were well received. The Company will now be responding to commercial enquiries with written quotations for each of the products.
The Company now has the supply chains in place for the procurement of components, as well as manufacturing routes for each of the CE marked products and is ready to fulfil orders. The Company's integrated systems enable the seamless flow of information, from CAD drawing to final product dispatch.
It is clear that the key early markets for ITM Power's products will be Germany and the United States, with the majority of commercial enquiries coming from these two territories. However, commercial enquiries were also received from other territories with significant investments in renewable energy resources.
ITM Power is continuing its presence at trade fairs and will be attending further shows over the next few months. The following list is not exhaustive:

ITM Power, the energy storage and clean fuel company, is pleased to announce the successful commercial launch of its CE marked product range, HPac, HBox and HFlame, at the Hydrogen and Fuel Cells Fair at the Hannover Messe in Germany. The Company received a great deal of attention at the fair, speaking five times in the Public Forum and three times in the Technical Forum. Analysis of the enquiries shows 360 new contacts and renewed interest from existing contacts, keen to revisit enquiries made last year prior to product CE marking. 30 privately scheduled meetings took place to discuss partnerships for project development and EU funding, as well as potential product orders and channel partner discussions for the Company's HFlame product.
Germany has the largest hydrogen refuelling infrastructure plans in the world. This coupled with the political will and allocated funding, makes Germany a key early hydrogen refuelling market. The Company is examining the possible commercial and grant support opportunities to launch phase two of the HOST programme in Germany with commercial fleet operators.
In addition to interest in the products offered for sale, the Company had a number of meetings concerning its proprietary membrane materials for potential use in numerous fuel cell applications. It is clear that the fuel cell materials are uniquely positioned, offering significantly higher power densities than existing state-of-the-art equivalents. The Company has been invited to present technical results to a number of organisations over the coming months.
The overwhelmingly positive feedback both from private meetings and the hydrogen and renewable energy community itself, is taken as evidence that the products launched are of a specification relevant to existing and emerging market opportunities. The Company issued price lists to interested parties at the fair and all three of the CE marked products were well received. The Company will now be responding to commercial enquiries with written quotations for each of the products.
The Company now has the supply chains in place for the procurement of components, as well as manufacturing routes for each of the CE marked products and is ready to fulfil orders. The Company's integrated systems enable the seamless flow of information, from CAD drawing to final product dispatch.
It is clear that the key early markets for ITM Power's products will be Germany and the United States, with the majority of commercial enquiries coming from these two territories. However, commercial enquiries were also received from other territories with significant investments in renewable energy resources.
ITM Power is continuing its presence at trade fairs and will be attending further shows over the next few months. The following list is not exhaustive:
