Queeston and Globex cut high-grade Au at Wood-Pandora

      2005-11-23 10:01 ET - News Release

See News Release (C-QMI) Queenston Mining Inc

Mr. Charles Page of Queenston Mining reports

QUEENSTON-GLOBEX INTERSECT HIGH GRADE GOLD AT WOOD-PANDORA JV

Queenston Mining Inc. and Globex Mining Enterprises Inc. have intersected a high-grade gold interval assaying 25.4 grams per tonne (0.74 ounces per ton) over six metres (19.7 feet), or 18.7 g/t (0.55 ounces per ton) over 8.3 m (27.0 feet) on the 50:50 Wood-Pandora joint venture property located in Cadillac township, Quebec.

In the recently completed, phase 3 four-hole (597 m) drill program, three shallow holes and one deeper hole were drilled to follow up a previous gold intersection in hole W05-05 which assayed three grams per tonne over nine metres in the D zone at a vertical depth of 175 m.

To date, assays are available from only two of the four holes. Shallow hole W05-08 intersected the D zone 130 m above hole W05-05 at a vertical depth of 45 m assaying 4.9 g/t over 1.7 m. Deeper in the hole, a second gold interval assayed 8.6 g/t over two metres.

Hole W05-09, the only deep hole in the program, was drilled 50 m west of W05-05 intersecting three gold zones that appear to be branches of the D zone and referred to as the upper D, middle D and lower D. Assay highlights from these zones include 25.4 g/t over six metres, 5.3 g/t over 4.9 m and 2.1 g/t over 4.5 m, respectively. Diamond drill core from shallow holes W05-10 and -11 is being logged and split for assaying. A longitudinal section of the D zone outlining the location of the phase 3 drilling is available on the companies` websites.

Assay results received to date from the phase 3 drilling program are listed below.

      Hole From To Int. Au
      No. (m) (m) (m) (g/t) Zone

      W05-08 57.0 58.7 1.7 4.9 D
      117.0 119.0 2.0 8.6 B
      W05-09 21.4 22.1 0.7 7.0
      52.0 53.5 1.5 5.6
      146.6 149.3 2.7 3.9
      201.5 209.8 8.3 18.7 upper D
      incl. 201.5 207.5 6.0 25.4 upper D
      incl. 201.5 203.0 1.5 5.0 upper D
      and 203.0 204.2 1.2 19.9 upper D
      and 204.2 204.7 0.5 136.1 upper D
      and 204.7 206.0 1.3 24.4 upper D
      and 206.0 207.5 1.5 13.8 upper D
      217.1 222.0 4.9 5.3 middle D
      225.0 229.5 4.5 2.1 lower D

The D zone is a new gold zone located 70 m south of the Wood Cadillac shafeet that was only partially explored from underground in the late 1940s. The gold mineralization occurs in a steeply south-dipping, highly contorted and altered package of talc-chlorite schist that appears to thicken with depth. The D zone is hosted along the Cadillac break in the same structural setting as the 1.7-million-ounce Lapa deposit being developed by Agnico-Eagle Mines three kilometres to the east.

The D zone intersected in holes W05-05 and W05-09 are 50 m apart and represent the deepest, widest and best-grade intervals encountered on the Wood-Pandora property. Due to the limited drilling completed to date, an estimate of the true width has not been determined. The mineralization remains open in all directions and a further phase of drilling will be initiated in the new year to continue to test the zone at depth.

The joint venture property contains four shallow gold zones (Wood, Piche, No. 3 Shafeet and Amm) and three shafeets from which 53,592 ounces of gold was produced between 1938 to 1941 from 314,100 t averaging 5.3 g/t. On the Wood zone, a historic, before NI 43-101, inferred mineral resource of one megaton grading 5.5 g/t is reported per H.J. Bergman, PEng, in federal government files. The property covers a 3.5-kilometre section of the Cadillac break, a regional gold corridor which hosts many of the deposits in the area.

For further information on the Wood-Pandora project see joint news releases issued in Stockwatch on Sept. 14, 2004, March 2, 2005, and June 29, 2005, available on the companies` websites.

The Wood-Pandora drilling program was supervised by Globex`s exploration manager and qualified person, Ray V. Zalnieriunas, PGeo, employing a QA/QC program consistent with National Instrument 43-101 and industry best practices. The drill core was logged and split and half-core samples were analyzed by standard fire assay with atomic absorption or gravimetric finish at Expert Laboratory Inc. of Rouyn-Noranda, Que. Geochemical assays greater than one gram per tonne were subjected to a gravimetric fire assay.
