Dear shareholder partners and subscribers,
This alert contains today's news release announcing our Q1 2024 Financial results, plus the May 29 news release announcing the approval of the proposed share consolidation as voted at the May 27 Special General Meeting.
Q1 Revenue Growth
Our Q1 2024 financials show continued revenue growth, highlighted by Q1 revenues of $5.34M USD, beating the high range of our forecast, and representing 147% growth over the same period in 2023.
Gross margins in the first quarter of 2024 improved to 56%, as compared to 37% in the same period in the prior financial year.
In the U.S., total subscribers increased by 122%, with Marketing and Sales spend increasing by only 39% compared to the same period in the prior financial year.
Management expects revenues in the second quarter of 2024 to be in the range of US$5.7 -$6.0 million and expects to reach EBITDA break even in the second half of 2024.
Path to Nasdaq
The revised capital structure approved at the May 27 Special Meeting is a required step in our strategic path to a Nasdaq listing, which will dramatically increase BioHarvest Sciences' coverage and availability to both US institutional and retail investors. We are confident that our focus on operational execution and delivering of results has formed the required foundation and strong fundamentals for a successful US listing; We are consistently posting strong quarter over quarter revenue and gross profit margin growth in our Products Business Unit, we have added a CDMO Services Business Unit to accelerate research and revenues by developing new plant molecules to be sold under royalty-based agreements, and we recently announced a state-of-the-art campus to consolidate Operations of both of these growing verticals. The goal is to complete the Nasdaq process in 2024, the same timeframe as our expectation of achieving EBITDA break-even within the second half of this year.
On behalf of the management team, I want to say "thank you" to our investor community for your continued support. We continue to grow revenues and gross profit margins as we establish the critical building blocks for future growth, and I am excited for this next major step in our journey together.
BioHarvest is a compelling growth company, and is about to enter its next phase - If you have any questions on the path to Nasdaq or on our overall Strategic Growth Plan, please respond to this email to connect. We are always available to our shareholder partners.
One team, one dream,
BioHarvest Sciences Inc.
