WINNIPEG, March 14, 2019 /PRNewswire/ - DELTA 9 CANNABIS INC. (TSXV: NINE) (OTCQX: VRNDF) ("Delta 9" or the "Company") is pleased to provide guidance on selected yearend financial results for 2018:

Year over year revenues are expected to be up over 700% in 2018 versus 2017.

Based on preliminary (unaudited) results, the Company anticipates revenues of between $5.3 million and $6.1 million for the three-month period ending December 31, 2018, compared with $1,251,213 for the three-month period ending September 30, 2018. Management believes that revenue growth and disciplined cost management will allow the Company to achieve positive cashflow in fiscal 2019.

Under the agreement, Westleaf will purchase Delta 9’s 50% stake in the Delta West Limited Partnership which owns the Delta West extraction facility.

The purchase price is payable by way of the issuance of 5,600,000 Westleaf shares which, based on the closing price on the TSX Venture Exchange of $2.67 per share on January 25, represents approximately $14.95 million.

      Quelle: https://finance.yahoo.com/news/delta-9-cannabis-agrees-sell-…

Delta 9 Announces Future Expansion Plans Including Increase of Production Capacity to 60,000 Kilograms by 2022

WINNIPEG, Feb. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire/ - DELTA 9 CANNABIS INC. (TSXV: NINE) (OTCQX: VRNDF) ("Delta 9" or the "Company") is pleased to provide an update on its expansion plans. Highlights include that the Company intends to increase its annual cannabis production capacity to 60,000 kilograms per year by 2022 and the expansion of its retail store network to four stores by the end of the second quarter of, 2019.

"Today we are pleased to provide our long-term vision to transform Delta 9's Winnipeg based production facilities into one of the largest cannabis production, processing, extraction and distribution centers in Canada" said CEO, John Arbuthnot. "Our strategy is to grow our business through organic growth and replicate the proven grow pod technology that has provided our customers with consistent high-quality cannabis."

Set forth below is a summary of the completed Phase 1 expansion of Delta 9's Winnipeg production facility and the anticipated Phase 2 and Phase 3 expansions.

Phase 1 – Phase 1 expansion is complete and licensed by Health Canada.
      > Total production capacity is currently 154 grow pods offering 49,280 square feet of production space on two Levels.
      > Projected total annual cannabis production capacity of 4,224 kilograms of dried cannabis

      Phase 2 – 2019 expansion underway
      > Total production capacity anticipated to increase by 454 grow pods
      > As of February 20, 2019, 65 additional grow pods have been installed in the facility as a part of the Phase 2 expansion.
      > Anticipated to provide an additional 145,280 square feet of production space on two levels
      > Total annual cannabis production capacity is anticipated to increase to 16,768 kilograms
      > Estimated capital costs of approximately $24,000,000, which will be funded from current Cashflow

      Phase 3 – 2020-2022 expansion plans
      > Systematic roll out of 15 modular warehouse buildings covering 480,000 square feet of production space on two levels
      > Total production capacity is anticipated to increase by 1,500 grow pods during this period
      >Total annual cannabis production capacity is anticipated to increase to 60,000 kilograms of dried cannabis
      > Construction of a 30,000 square foot in-house cannabis extraction facility
      > Anticipated capital costs of approximately $115,000,000. Delta 9 is currently reviewing its strategic options for funding these expansion Costs

The Winnipeg production facility uses proprietary grow pod technology to produce premium cannabis products. Delta 9 was the first company in Canada to develop and deploy stackable, self-contained grow pod technology. The major benefit of these self-contained units is that there is low risk of crop failure. Each grow pod is constructed from a repurposed 320 square foot steel shipping container and can produce approximately 32.5 kilograms of cannabis annually. Management estimates that each grow pod can generate $320,000 in annual revenue from the sale of cannabis produced by each grow pod.

"Delta 9 has over 70 strains of cannabis that require a production infrastructure that can grow a wide range of cannabis at scale simultaneously," said CEO, John Arbuthnot. "Our goal is to continue to successfully execute our organic expansion strategy to meet consumer demand, grow the Company and benefit our shareholders."

The Company has selected Bird Construction Company Limited ("Bird") to oversee the design and construction of the Phase 3 expansion. Bird is a premier Canadian construction management firm responsible for a number of large scale pre-engineered industrial facilities in related industries, as well as other state of the art cannabis facilities.

      Focus on ROI

Delta 9’s cost-conscious approach to the industry continues despite the significant capital infusion and access to the public markets.

John and Bill jointly developed their own innovative growing system that converted steel shipping containers – known as sea cans – into highly efficient hydroponic grow pods. Each pod is approximately 40 feet long and eight feet wide with 320 square feet of growing space. They are equipped with 15 vented lights that enable cool air to run through the lighting units, which reduces the power consumption for cooling the pods. The self-contained nature of the pods also reduces the need for roof-mounted industrial HVAC systems.

Despite massive increases in quality and productivity, the Delta 9 grow pods cost only $40,000 to install, but produce between 30 to 32 kilos of dried cannabis per year. While typical purpose-built indoor or greenhouse facilities cost roughly $1 million per 1,000 square feet to build, Delta 9’s innovative, self-designed systems have driven their expansion costs down to just $120,000 per 1,000 square feet; an impressive Return on Investment.

In addition to the cost savings, the pods have a reduced risk of crop loss since they are completely isolated from each other. This is one reason that the company is one of the few licensed producers that has never gone through a recall or suspension due to mold, pests, or other quality control issues. If there is an issue with a crop, that issue is isolated to a single pod and might cost the company only $5,000 to $10,000.

Crop loss in the typical greenhouse or open growing space more typically can cost a company in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, and while Delta 9’s system might be slightly more labour intensive, the company is justifiably proud of its enviable reputation for quality control.

The company is also capable of efficiently growing many different types of cannabis since each pod can be set up to suit a particular strain or product type without affecting other product types in different pods.

The company’s location in Manitoba also provides it with a key advantage over competing companies. The province has the lowest rates for electrical power in the country, which means the company pays just 4.5 cents per kilowatt hour compared to upwards of 20 cents for some competitors. Along with lower leasing, land, and labor costs, the company estimates the cost of goods sold for each gram will be just over $1 by 2020. Combined with the lower capital outlay, these are huge advantages for shareholders looking for a high return on their investment dollars.

First Historical Shipment of Recreational Cannabis Shipped by Delta 9

      October 10, 2018

Delta 9 Cannabis Inc. is this week fulfilling its first bulk bottled order of legal, recreational cannabis to Manitoba Liquor and Lotteries (MBLL).

Under its agreement with the government of Manitoba, Delta 9 is not currently revealing the size of the shipment or the price per gram.

However, chief executive officer John Arbuthnot says this first order represents a significant first order of the company’s 2.3-million-gram supply agreement with MBLL.

      About Delta 9 Cannabis Inc.

Delta 9 Cannabis was the fourth producer in Canada licensed to produce legal cannabis. Delta 9 now operates its wholly owned subsidiary, Delta 9 Bio-Tech Inc., as a licensed producer of medical marijuana pursuant to the ACMPR (Access to Cannabis for Medical Purposes Regulations) and operates an 80,000-square-foot production facility in Winnipeg, Man., Canada. Delta 9 also owns 50 per cent of the 70,000-square-foot Delta West facility in Alberta and co-owns the Delta West Lifestyles cannabis retail operation.

In 2017, Delta 9 has constructed 28 of its self-designed ‘grow pods’, with the intended build out to include upwards of 600 grow pods in its current 80,000 square foot building in Winnipeg. Production capacity is expected to increase from the current 1,000 kilograms per year, to 17,000 kilograms of high grade cannabis by 2020 with the creation of 300 new jobs.
